Batman and Robin (1997 film)

“Forever” was supposed to be a misstep, a mistake to be corrected. “Robin”, unfortunately and inexplicably, acts as amplification of “Forever”’s worst qualities. How do you fuck up the verbose and tragic Mr. Freeze? Oh, right, get someone with a passing relationship with the English language to spout a series of bad gags, and he still manages to fare better than Thurman’s surprisingly unsexy Poison Ivy. Fuck it, damn near everyone is miscast here, and the action scenes have all the production quality of local theater. The scenes with Alfred feel like they come from a far better film. Terrible.
