Aztec Warfare II (Lucha Underground)
I hold the first Aztec Warfare in high regard, a rejiggered take on the Royal Rumble concept that seamlessly wove in meaningful storylines with its high-octane action to make for an effortless hour of television. That most of the second Aztec Warfare doesn’t live to that high standard isn’t much of a surprise, though it is plenty good in its own right (cinder blocks!). Then comes the finish, which consists of the greatest debut I’ve ever seen that represents a monstrous pole shift in power in Lucha Underground. It’s enough to put it on par with the first Aztec Warfare.
