Attica (2021 film)

Disclosure: I don’t respond well, or at least as positively as most folk do, to documentaries that consist of little besides talking heads and archival footage, so there’s a chance I’ve scored this far lower than most would feel it deserves. That said, I thought Stanley Nelson did the best he could realistically do to bring the past to life, mostly consisting of letting the surviving prisoners speak and juxtaposing it with real footage from the five days verifying their accounts. There are plenty better documentaries released in the past year than this, but this Important Film is worth watching.
