As We See It (Pilot)

Katim’s previous “Parenthood” remains the gold standard in portraying Asperger Syndrome in media, but if “As We See It” maintains the pace established in its pilot, it could take second place. Some stereotypical framing of conflicts and a bloated runtime bring it down, but the chief trio are immediately likable and understandable and the humor and emotional beats around them don’t feel dumbed down or inauthentic; I heartily laughed several times over the course of this episode, and one character’s frustration over dating apps was sweetly engaging. Not the best new show of 2022 so far, but better than most.
