AEW Full Gear 2021

I’ve had no issue watching comparably-lengthy (and longer) wrestling shows as AEW’s “Full Gear 2021”’s four hours, but those either correctly advertise themselves as once-in-a-lifetime affairs (AJW Dream Slam 1993) or are paced immaculately well (WWF/E WrestleMania X7). Nine matches in four hours with only one running less than fifteen minutes, all with similar builds and angles, becomes exhausting viewing when taken all in one go. That said, spread the viewing experience out over the course of several days and it becomes easier to appreciate all but one heatless affair, especially the raging climax of a main event. Damn good.
