The Shield (Dean Ambrose / Jon Moxley, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins / Tyler Black) vs. The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Erick Rowan, and Luke Harper / Brodie Lee), from WWE Main Event on 4/8/2014

Judge this on its physicality and it might be better than the beloved first encounter at that year’s Elimination Chamber. The difference, however, is that match had a level of gravitas that this bout, taking place on a program stuck halfway between a recap show and THE DANA BROOKE AND SARAH LOGAN POWER HOUR, couldn’t hope to capture. The first bout could get away with its extended heat sequence handily while this one…I’ll be kind and compliment Ambrose for selling it after the match. A great match in its own right, largely forgotten as 2014 wasn’t hurting for MOTYCs.
