The Last of Us (Endure and Survive)

“Parents sacrifice their lives for their children. Then children become parents and sacrifice their own lives.” -Vision, “Vision”

I’d argue this is the biggest deviation from the video game so far. Henry’s moment of questionable behavior being turned into something more powerful and relatable, combined with the addition of a proper backstory to the conflict in the area, is more than sufficient substitute for a series of action setpieces, and these changes also work to make the emotional climax, carried over from the game, land even harder in this incarnation. These are the scary and sad times I’m here for.
