The Expanse (Rock Bottom)

One episode to slow things down? Yeah, sure, I’m down for that. Two episodes? That’s stretching it. I didn’t connect with the previous episode’s attempt at keeping the adrenaline up with a tense standoff mostly disconnected from the main plot and this episode’s requisite, one-off action-y crap was even worse, though at least it offered a reprieve from the seven million conversations that amounted to “But you could betray us!” “But I won’t!” Somebody has an eye-opening monologue about mortality and the Cant are funny when they’re drunk, and that’s what is keeping this episode from getting a lower score.
