Tetris (Game Boy version)

“Tetris” is arguably the most important game of all time, ensuring Nintendo’s line of mobile consoles got off to the best start it possibly could and serving as a baseline for some incredible games. As a singular experience in the modern age, however, the first ever “Tetris” is showing its age. If I were reviewing this at the time, I could see how I would be over the moon for this, but I’m not living in the early 90s and I never will again, and the flimsy modes and presentation render this a lesser game than many of its follow-ups.
