Streets of Rage 4 (Switch version)

The inexplicable but welcome return of “Streets of Rage”, one of the best brawling series of all time, is a system-heavy affair that reads like it took a few cues from the 3D counterparts it inspired. The risk-reward system of heavy attacks, combined with dedicated series of launchers and dash attacks, mean experienced players can practically combo their way through an entire stage while newbies can get told to get good. I wouldn’t call this a difficult game by any means, but the climactic boss fights still manage to feel like arduous affairs without delving into BS elements. Criminally underrated.
