Sifu (PS5 version)

Absolver was a fantastic argument against its developer, Sloclap, ever making another martial-arts themed game again. The fights had no tangible logic or energy, the whole thing looked as boring as Shadow of the Colossus, and the prospect of playing online multiplayer in a post-GamerGate world remains as compelling as marathoning The Office. Its only redeeming quality might be as a lesson other studios could learn from. Anyway, Sifu is much like Absolver but with better presentation and a crappy lives system, complete with a reference to Oldboy, which is not an action film. It was celebrated for some reason.
