Power Drift (3DS version)

The compilation this came in, “Sega 3D Classics Collection”, defaults to this in the main menu and sound effects from this game are the first things you hear past the loading screens, all communicating this is the flagship title of the collection and arguably the selling point of Sega’s old archive being reimagined in 3D. In fairness, the 3D effect is sickening in motion, a grotesque thing of beauty I can’t stand to look at, as though “Angst” were a racing game. As for the gameplay, it’s a kart racer from 1988, of course it’s rudimentary. Interesting spectacle, at least.
