Nigel McGuinness / Desmond Wolfe vs. Bryan Danielson / Daniel Bryan (Pure Title rules) to unify the ROH Pure Championship with the ROH World Championship, from Ring of Honor Unified

If nothing else, this match is proof that matches built around the technical wizardry of both combatants don’t need to feel their length. The greatest compliment I can give is that its near-thirty minutes feels like less than ten, and that the worst aspect of the encounter (one wrestler busts himself open hardway*) likely won’t register as a negative for most folk. This is in the top five of McGuinness matches and maybe top ten of Danielson matches, with their match the following year at “Driven” holding ground above it. How the hell is this match ten years old already?
