I’m sure there’s someone out there who is miffed this wasn’t a seven-hour show, but as someone who got up at three AM to watch it live, having the whole shbang wrapped up by seven was a relief. These four hours flew by thanks to a combination of great wrestling matches and a sound show structure, opting for wit over trying to make everything seem epic. The only match that didn’t accomplish what it set out to do was the IWGP United States Championship match; everything else either advanced meaningful storylines or were great matches. An early, strong show-of-the-year candidate.
