Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero
A title that was at least four years ahead of its time. There’s an alternate universe where this game is very good, where the jumping feels right and the excellent combat results in thrilling encounters and the two form a perfect marriage. What’s here is the worst of both types of gameplay, with stilted combat that always feels wrong and braindead platforming sections that beg to be excised. All this, mind, is backstory for a character whose backstory was already detailed well in comics, films, and other video games. Only its small corny charm keeps it from being completely worthless.
