Miranda Sings Live … Your Welcome (Netflix special)

Colleen Ballinger has admitted this show requires a good deal of knowledge and appreciation of her character for an audience to enjoy it. I’d imagine someone going in blind wouldn’t be confused as to what its central joke is (Ballinger’s twenty-minute monologue at the start clarifies a lot), but the jokes referencing “Haters Back Off” and Joey Graceffa would fly over their heads. That said, if you couldn’t get to go to one of Ballinger’s Twitter-famous shows, this is a fine substitute, hitting everything from the transformation during “Defying Gravity” to Miranda’s accidentally-great magic trick. Not Netflix’s best, but fun.
