Mika Iida vs. Tsukushi, from Catch the WAVE Scramble 2016

There’s no doubt this was eventful and fiercely executed; no doubt this could persuade someone to watch a longer encounter between these two. I’m just left wanting more spectacle or narrative, with what’s here coming across as two desperate people trying to keep this thing short and one happening to luck out, which isn’t a bad story but isn’t as good as it could have been. Other brief-but-awesome matches also justify their duration with spots one couldn’t pull out in a long encounter, and I love the screencapped spot but that’s about it. I should probably watch much more WAVE.
