Mei Suruga vs. AZM for the High Speed Championship, from Stardom Cinderella Tournament 2022 Finals

I’ve considered Suruga a promising name in the business for some time, possessing a unique persona that could get her far if her in-ring skills ever caught up to the rest of her act, but after seeing this match, I guess she’s now worth a million bucks. AZM is no slouch here, but Suruga’s blend of slapstick and sensible athleticism convey a measure of mind games (AZM cursing at her antics helps) and the sort of fun wrestling is supposed to regularly provide. I’m choosing to register the end as an underhanded promise to the audience of a glorious rematch.
