Love, Death & Robots (Jibaro)

The fan-favorite of the previous season of “Love, Death & Robots” (“Pop Squad”) was an extended insult to the intellect, a waste of time that could only work if one baldly consumes all media without question. In that sense, “Jibaro”, the highlight of this season, could not be more different, masterful just from a technical perspective while spinning a yarn with enough room for interpretation that I can’t help but ponder what it all means. If Netflix spent half the money they’ve put towards forgettable comedies starring terrible actors on promoting works like these, they’d forever remain in the green.
