Kris Statlander vs. Dr. Britt Baker for the AEW Women’s Championship, from AEW All Out 2021

An odd match to put on—AEW may have done their diligence in putting over Baker as a believable champion (an unthinkable prospect this time last year) but they haven’t done the same for Statlander, at this point a novelty with a cult following who is far from a believable challenger. That said, Statlander is good at “doing movez” while Baker has developed a great sense of theater, and these qualities combine here for a match that’s better than most Dynamite main events. It’s one of those matches where the loser comes out looking better for what they could withstand.
