Kingdom Hearts Final Mix

Little John's take on KH1 amounted to its considerable flaws being flies in the ointment compared to the magic it conjured. Playing this upgraded version as an adult, as you can imagine, was quite a kick to the gut. Combat is THIS CLOSE to feeling right, and the difficulty spikes near the end will likely infuriate the target audience. The excuse plot bets it all on metaphorical, romantic optimism, leading to several scenes that had me consulting a wiki to keep up with the plot. Certain aspects of the presentation (music, mostly) and a decent final stretch elevate this mess.
