Kenta Kobashi and Mitsuharu Misawa vs. Jun Akiyama and Yuji Nagata, from Pro Wrestling NOAH Navigate for Evolution 2002 Night Ten

It’s rare for Misawa to be the third wheel in a matchup, but with Akiyama wanted to destroy Kobashi’s surgically repaired knee seemingly to preclude a GHC Championship match and Nagata wanting to destroy Kobashi’s surgically repaired knee seemingly because he thinks it would be funny, all eyes are on the guy who spends much of the match asking his opponents to stop kicking his leg, dammit. It loses a lot of steam with heat segments that go too long and it’s a good ten minutes too long, but this was fun and had the crowd invested in the finish.
