Katsuyori Shibata and KENTA / Hideo Itami vs. Mohammad Yone and Takeshi Morishima for the GHC Tag Team Championship, from Pro Wrestling NOAH Third Great Voyage 2005

The start was cool, the ending was good, and everything in-between was the usual time-wasting “I’m gonna put you in a million chinlocks you’ll forget to sell in five minutes” sort of match that was (and still is) in vogue in AJPW, NJPW, and NOAH. There were enough fun parts combined with solid execution of holds for this to land on the green, but three of these workers have been effectively marketed as killers and to see them spend whole minutes of a match doing something besides killing people was not the best use of these characters. Could’ve been better.
