Host (2020 film)

One of the worst horror films this decade. “Host” aims to deliver scares through a simulated Zoom call in which the post-production scare chords and spooky ambience is of better fidelity than the voices in the call while half the cast walk around their residences with their laptops open and facing away from them for the benefit of the Zoom call, even when (spoilers but who cares) EVERYONE ELSE IN THE CALL IS DEAD SO THERE’S NO FUCKING POINT IN THEM DOING THIS UNLESS THEY KNOW THEY’RE IN A HORROR FILM. Under sixty minutes, but it felt like an eternity.
