Hardcore Henry

A film that delivers exactly what it says on the tin and not much else. A bunch of action scenes strung together with the barest of plots, “Hardcore Henry” offers a quite literal new perspective to the action genre with its dedication to stick to a first person viewpoint (save one early scene, I think). What sticks with me most, though, are a handful of the quieter moments that hint at more vibrant cinema (goodness, this film could have used more of those). It runs out of steam long before its climax, but I’d be down for a spiritual sequel.
