Frozen 2

“Frozen 2” has problems with pacing, tone, the supporting cast getting the shaft (Kristoff does nothing for half an hour), and the comic relief whose hit percentage (though the SMRPG style recap halfway through the film got me). The same could be said of the first film, though, and “2” leaves “Frozen” in the dust in terms of visuals and has a more focused, impactful story—without getting into spoilers, there’s plenty more ground covered here besides the coming-out subtext, with one late Anna number being downright inspired. Also, “Frozen 2” has the better soundtrack, fight me in real life.
