Fire ’N Ice (also marketed as “Solomon’s Key 2”)

The NES has too many games like this, where the first screen makes you go “hey, these puzzle mechanics are decent and the presentation is nice” and the second screen makes you go “I’m already fed up with this game”. I didn’t care much for the first “Solomon’s Key”, and while the animation is appreciably improved and the puzzle simplified, I still have no desire to play more than a few minutes of this at a time. This made it to NES Online before “Earthbound” and “Final Fantasy VI” made it to SNES Online—the modern age in a nutshell.
