ECW Hardcore Heaven 97

A total mess of a show, for better and (mostly) worse. There are times when the madness is entertaining and infectious (the main event angle is a classic ECW shitshow), but that I spent most of this show wondering who footed the bill for the Extreme Chopper and why referees attempted counts on the floor should say something of how good most of the in-ring action was. The tag titles match was interesting, and Lawler and Dreamer put on what I thought was a pretty good brawl, but everything else was forgettable. You’re not missing much by skipping this show.
