Dr. Britt Baker vs. Thunder Rosa / Serpentine (Lights Out), from the March 17, 2021 episode of AEW Dynamite (also billed as St. Patrick’s Day Slam)

The first women’s match to close out an episode of Dynamite was worked as though the participants were afraid a poor performance would ensure this would be the last time a women’s match was featured in this manner. Barring the first three minutes, this was a career-making war, the sort that verifies all the hype surrounding Rosa and paints Baker, a decent personality that has struggled to deliver the goods in the ring, in a far more positive light than any other endeavor she has touched. My second-favorite match of 2021 so far, and I can’t wait for a rematch.
