Damian Priest vs. Killian Dain vs. Pete Dunne for the right to lose to Adam Cole the following night, from WWE NXT TakeOver: WarGames 2019

These three are having themselves an impersonal but competitive feud, which is enough reason to give them a spot on a TakeOver but not nearly enough reason for letting them go nearly twenty minutes. I can’t say this was lacking for ingenuity—hey, a three-way dance that isn’t structured like several singles matches stitched together, what joy—but they didn’t have twenty minutes of ingenuity in them, and even if they did, they’d likely still be better served by aiming for a ten-minute sprint and saving the leftovers for down the road. Far from terrible, but I wasn’t feeling this.
