Clock Tower (1995 video game)

“Clock Tower” has some silly moments that can damage its atmosphere as well as obtuse elements that aim to embed a sense of horror or mystery but just add frustration, and these are mistakes that have proven to be the death of other horror games. This version of “Clock Tower”, however, otherwise does such a great job of conveying a sense of dread in a novel fashion that its few flaws are plenty forgivable. Not localizing this back in the day was probably the right business decision, but time has proven this to be a hidden gem for the SNES.
