CHIKARA The Ocean Walker

CHIKARA have built their reputation on putting on oddball shows, but this was a strange event even by their standards. I don’t know that I could recommend this one based on the quality of the in-ring work—the two best matches were the opener and the main event, both of which felt like two thirds of a classic—but chalk this up as one of the few times that having a flock of children loaded up on sugar improved the atmosphere of, well, anything. Add in some light storyline advancement and you have an amusing, breezy mess of a show.
