Buddy Murphy vs. Mustafa Ali (no disqualification), from the July 3, 2018 edition of WWE 205 Live (revisited)

Three and a half years ago, this stood out as a reason to be optimistic towards WWE’s future. Nowadays, it registers as WWE’s failure. They gave two of their workers about twenty minutes and little build to get the people rocking, and they delivered a match that got an audience that couldn’t care less about them beforehand to eating out the palm of their hands, all without taking gross and unnecessary risks. You’d think being able to make gold out of nothing would ensure they would be the future of the company, and now they are its past. Go figure.
