Amazing Red vs. Jay Briscoe, from Ring of Honor The Era of Honor Begins (the first official match on the first ROH show)

My memory paints the indie wrestling scene of the early Aughts as being obsessed with moves and too much being done in undercard matches, effectively rendering the match little more than noise until the final two minutes, so it’s nice to remember at least two dudes that had it right back in the day. This was a fun bout that didn’t go too long or kill any big spots and had only one sequence that questioned credulity outside what you usually get from wrestling. I’ve no doubt these two worked better, smarter matches later, but this was a good time.
