Akira Taue vs. Mitsuharu Misawa (finals of the 1995 AJPW Champion Carnival), from All Japan Champion Carnival 1995 Night Nineteen

I don’t know if I was supposed to find this match funny, but I thought it was hysterical. Misawa has been on top for so long that the crowd WANTS to get behind Taue, who is more of a tag specialist and undoubtably the one with the longer odds of winning, but, well, it’s Taue, the guy that makes an art form out of scratching people in the eye, so the crowd swings back to Misawa, but then Misawa gets on a roll and the crowd changes, but then Taue does his shtick. Imagine if Austin vs. Hart was comedy.
